Some users are worried about why their newly installed screw pumps are not delivering liquid, and some even suspect the quality of the screw pump. Actually, if you encounter this phenomenon with a newly purchased screw pump, you can refer to the following methods to troubleshoot it step by step.

Reasons for Screw Pump Not Delivering Liquid:

1. Check if the screw pump motor is reversing. Motor reversal can also cause the screw pump to not deliver liquid.

2. Check if the screw pump inlet and outlet are installed in reverse. In newer screw pumps, the inlet is upwards and the outlet is at the front, while in older models, the inlet is at the front and the outlet is upwards.

3. The liquid level is lower than the screw pump. Not filling the screw pump with liquid and removing air and lubricating the rubber sleeve before the first use is another reason why the screw pump may not deliver liquid.

4. The liquid being transported has high concentration and viscosity, the liquid level is low, or the distance to the screw pump suction port is far. The solution is to get closer to the liquid, and for excessively viscous liquids, use a back-filling method so the medium can flow into the pump body.

5. Air leakage in the screw pump inlet pipe due to insufficient sealing. This causes air to be drawn into the pump body, keeping the screw pump in a constant suction state and preventing liquid delivery.

6. The inlet pipe of the screw pump is too large and doesn't match the standard diameter of the screw pump, which can also cause it to not deliver liquid.

7. When stainless steel screw pumps are used to transport corrosive liquids, ensure that the selected rubber sleeve is suitable for the chemical corrosiveness of the medium. If the wrong rubber sleeve is chosen and it reacts chemically with the liquid, causing expansion, this can prevent the screw pump from rotating, leading to no liquid delivery.
